Research activities, both basic and applied, are organized within the University's Departments and Research Centers. Particular attention is devoted to basic research, which is fundamental not only for the evolution of scientific thought but also for its capacity, over time, to have a profound impact on reality. Applied research, focused on the study of topics with greater operational relevance or of more direct interest to organizations and businesses, instead pursues the objective of updating and providing scientific content to the management activities of companies and institutions.
