The Politecnico di Bari ensures the processing of personal data in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR), as well as Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003, as amended by Legislative Decree no. 101 of 10 August 2018.

The Data Controller is the Polytechnic University of Bari, with registered office in Via Amendola 126/b, 70126 Bari, in the person of the Rector pro tempore.

Data Protection Officer (DPO)

The Data Protection Officer of the Politecnico di Bari, appointed pursuant to Article 37 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, is Ing. Carlo Giansante.

The appointment is recorded in Rector's Decree No. 1035 of 11/09/2024.

The DPO carries out support, advisory, information, and supervisory functions in the field of personal data protection and serves as the contact point for data subjects and for the Supervisory Authority with regard to matters related to the processing of personal data.
