The Ethics Committee is the body with advisory, research, and oversight functions regarding the application of and compliance with the rules and principles contained in the Code of Ethics and Conduct by the university community.

The Ethics Committee for the academic years 2024/2027 is composed as follows:

The Ethics Committee: investigates, upon notification, violations of the Code of Ethics and Conduct and, where possible, facilitates the amicable resolution of any disputes; if the Committee considers that a violation of the Code of Ethics and Conduct falls within the remit of the Single Guarantee Committee or the Disciplinary Board, it forwards the case and documentation to them; in all other cases, the Committee proposes that the Rector impose sanctions on those in breach.

The Ethics Committee is composed of three faculty members, one member of the managerial, technical, administrative, and library staff, and one student. The members of this Committee are appointed by rectoral decree, upon designation by the Academic Senate from among a shortlist of names proposed by the Rector, with the exception of the student representative, who is designated by the Student Council. An administrative officer collaborates with the Committee, without voting rights.

The decisions of the Ethics Committee must be reasoned, and access to them must comply with the applicable regulations concerning administrative acts and the right to personal privacy.
