The University Language Centre of the Politecnico di Bari offers PoliBa students, PhD students and staff practical workshops dedicated to enhancing their English language skills.

Language Support Workshops

The Language Support Workshops are not language courses but periodic group workshops lasting one hour each, held at the CLA by a native-speaking teacher.

They are designed to explore various linguistic aspects: specific skills such as listening and pronunciation, the use of English in professional and current situations (such as job interviews or presentations), and strategies for tackling certain aspects of the Cambridge and IELTS exams.

Through the study of the most suitable strategies and practical simulations, each workshop is structured to promote active learning and provide advice for independent and consistent study. In this way, participants will be able to gain confidence and proficiency in using the English language in different contexts.

AI Language Practice Workshops

It is now clear that the development of AI is influencing every area of education, including language learning. The resources available on the various platforms can in fact help students practise their language skills even in the absence of a teacher.

As part of the CLA's Language Support Workshops, these practice sessions with a native-speaking teacher demonstrate the many uses of AI platforms to facilitate independent English language study.
