The overall objectives of OPTAPHI are to:
Build a lasting relationship between the academic partners that will lead to the establishment of a long-term double degree program on the topics of advanced spectroscopy and integrated optics.
Produce a cohort of students with multidisciplinary expertise, each of whom receives training from two world leaders in different fields in a highly innovative project that interlocks with the activities of the ESR cohort.
Demonstrate novel Quartz Enhanced Photo-Acoustic Spectroscopy (QEPAS) and Photo-Thermal Spectroscopy (PTS) configurations with improved sensitivity and compactness using new intracavity sensing configurations and/or novel ultra-compact semiconductor lasers.
