Purpose/Description of Activities: The Consortium is non-profit and acts exclusively in the interest of its members, constituting their common instrument for the implementation of a programme of activities aimed at providing, as a highly specialised competence centre, the following services: a) business guidance, in particular for SMEs, through the development of a series of tools designed to support companies in assessing their level of digital and technological maturity; b) training for businesses, in order to promote and disseminate skills in the field of Industry 4.0 through classroom training and training on the production line and on real applications, using, for example, demonstrative production lines and the development of use cases, with the aim of supporting beneficiary companies in understanding the concrete benefits in terms of reduced operating costs and increased competitiveness of their offering; c) implementation of innovation, industrial research and experimental development projects proposed by companies, including collaborative projects among them, and provision of technology transfer services in the field of Industry 4.0, also through actions to stimulate demand for innovation from companies, in particular SMEs. The Consortium, solely as an instrument for achieving its corporate purpose and in compliance with applicable regulations, may carry out all operations deemed necessary or useful, including, among others, movable and immovable property transactions, commercial, financial and industrial operations. Furthermore, in carrying out its activities, the Consortium may make use of the instrumental resources and personnel of its members in the forms provided for by law and in compliance with the regulations of each member. The members may independently carry out all activities related to the purpose of the Consortium referred to in this article, while complying with the obligations of confidentiality and the property rights established by the relevant laws and specified in the subsequent articles 27, 28 and 29. As it is non-profit, the Consortium may not distribute profits to its members. Any operating surplus shall be reinvested in the Consortium's activities by the second financial year following the one in which it was generated. To this end, profits shall be set aside in the accounts in a specific liability fund, earmarked for the implementation of fixed investments or initiatives falling within the Consortium's purpose described above
