Purpose/Description of Activities: The Association aims to undertake all initiatives suitable for the development and consolidation of the national technological cluster in the energy sector, in accordance with the provisions defined by MIUR in the "Notice for the development and enhancement of the new 4 National Technological Clusters", in order to generate opportunities for technological and innovative development for Italy's energy system. The Association presents itself as a structure open to the incremental participation of all national stakeholders interested in energy-related issues, with the aim of creating a single national-level aggregation entity (community), capable of effectively representing the sector concerned from a European and international perspective, and serving as a meeting point with institutional bodies and regional and national administrations. The thematic macro-areas relevant to the Association, identified during its establishment in line with the technological priorities of the European Community's SET (Strategic Energy Technology)-Plan concerning Energy, are: Energy efficiency; Sustainable use of fossil fuels and fuels from renewable sources; Renewable Energy Sources; Smart Grid, in the broadest sense, concerning all energy networks and their possible integration; Energy Storage; Sustainable mobility, understood as a contribution to the development of innovative power trains and energy supply systems.
