The Polytechnic University of Bari expresses its solidarity with Iranian students, both in Iran and abroad, who are subjected to severe limitations on their fundamental rights. These restrictions have direct consequences for their studies, their freedom of expression, and their participation in academic life.

Through this statement, we reaffirm the importance of freedom of expression and research, respect for human rights, and intellectual independence as essential values of the international academic community. We oppose all forms of repression and violence and strongly express our support for the Iranian academic community and for all those who, through education and culture, work peacefully to safeguard human dignity and fundamental freedoms.
