The second edition of the Level II Master’s program “Innovation in electrical systems for energy” presented at Poliba

45 places, application deadline: 8 September. Classes begin: November 2026. The initiative is curated by Terna and the Italian Polytechnics of Bari, Milan and Turin

The second edition of the Level II Master’s programme in “Innovation in Electrical Systems for Energy” was presented on 9 June at the Rectorate headquarters.

The Master’s programme, entirely funded by Terna spa, is being developed with the participation of the Italian Polytechnic network of Bari, Milan, and Turin, through “PoliTechLab”.

It was stated that the Master’s programme will train professionals who will be called upon to build and manage the National Electricity Grid of the coming decades through highly specialised profiles. Training is planned for experts in plant and technology, asset management, power electrical systems, markets, and regulation. The Master’s programme is intended for students who have obtained a master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Energy and Nuclear, Automation, Management, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering. Following selection, 45 candidates will be admitted (15 for each Polytechnic).

The teaching plan for the second edition of the Master’s programme was presented by Prof. Massimo La Scala, a lecturer at Poliba and scientific director of the Master’s programme on behalf of Poliba. Also speaking at the presentation event were the Vice-Rector of Poliba, Annalisa Di Roma, delegated to student community centrality, sustainability and inclusion, Emanuela Domenica Luppino, Simona Sapio, and Giorgio Maria Giannuzzi of Terna.

Classes will begin in November 2026. The entire course will last 12 months. Applications are open until 8 September.

Two further presentations of the second edition of the Master’s programme are scheduled: 16 June at the Polytechnic University of Milan and 2 July at the Polytechnic University of Turin.
